5th Annual Funky Finds Spring Fling

On March 9 & 10, I will be participating in the 5th Annual FUNKY FINDS Spring Fling! This will be the eighth indie art & craft show Funky Finds has hosted in Fort Worth, Texas. The event is free to the public and is family AND pet-friendly. With over 120 artists, crafters & designers participating, there is certainly something for everyone!

WHEN: Saturday, March 9, 10am-5pm and Sunday, March 10, 11am-4pm

WHERE: Will Rogers Memorial Center, Small Exhibits Bldg., 3409 Burnett-Tandy Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76107
The event will feature swag bags for the first 75 attendees each day to purchase a minimum of five $1.00 raffle tickets. Raffle features items donated by all participating artisans & sponsors, and all raffle proceeds benefit CASA of Tarrant County, The Humane Society of North Texas who will be facilitating on-site pet adoptions all weekend. Don't Forget to Feed Me will be accepting pet food donations & each donor will receive one FREE raffle ticket. I look forward to seeing you there!

New Weaving on My Loom

 I have been weaving new pieces to make some bigger purses.
Each one has multiple colors woven in abstract patterns.
I am having so much fun working the different yarns and silk
ribbons in to create these picture purses! I will be at Funky Finds Spring Fling, March 9th and 10th. Come see me!

"Sunflowers and Sunshine" MIxed Media Art Shelf

I just finished "Sunflowers and Sunshine", one of two mixed media art shelves I am creating. This work can be hung on the wall or stand on a table.

Hand Painted Art Tables

I just finished two new pieces in my Art Furniture collection. I use acrylic paints and seal it with Golden's Matte Medium. I love painted these accent pieces. Each one is a unique shaped canvas to create on!

Mixed Media Roadrunner

My husband being the wonderful photographer that he is, snapped a picture of a roadrunner near our farm. The shot is fantastic. I am doing a mixed media collage of the photo to display beside his photo. It is a fun challenge to reinvent his photography in my art mind and I am loving every minute of it! I am using acrylic paints, paper, cardboard packing paper on his back and cut canvas in his tail feathers.
