Life Fibers Art Retreat

Life Fibers Art Retreat

October 24th to October 27th

Sharen Chatterton at Gypsy Muse Studio and Karen Rester at Luna Azul Studio are excited to be teaching our newest Art Retreat "Life Fibers, a Creative Journey out of Complacency".
This is a three night, two and a half day Women's Retreat in the Country. We will be staying at Isaiahs Place , a beautiful Ranch on approximately 48 acres, with a log cabin, bunk house and other out buildings. We will have plenty of room to spread out and get creative. My twin sister, Karen and I are busy getting everything together to welcome our guest for this fiber and mixed media visual art journaling retreat October 24th to October 27th. This retreat will take us each on a creative journey to uncover the fibers that weave through our lives. Your days and evenings will be filled with creating a personal visual art journal themed around the fibers that weave our lives together, this will include the completion of at least four mixed media journal pages, learning the art of wet felting, as we make a unique felted cover for our journal. This will be a two and a half day retreat you will not want to miss, no experience necessary, just a creative heart and a need to express your creativity. Come join us in the country as we get creative.

We will be using fibers, pan pastels, neocolors, watercolors, acrylics and so much more!

About the Facilitators:

Sharen Chatterton-owner and artist at Gypsy Muse Studio in Grapevine, Texas.

"I have such a passion for creating and sharing my art, whether it is defining the detail on a large acrylic piece, reminding myself to allow the watercolors to do their thing, or mixing it up with different materials and mediums in a mixed media piece, I find joy and peace in creating art and sharing that passion with others."

Karen Rester-Owner and Artist at Luna Azul Studio in Blum, Texas

"I am an artist who enjoys working in many mediums; spinning, weaving, painting, fiber and mixed media collage. I have an incredible passion for self-expression and believe tha teach piece of art has it's own unique style, creativity and imagination in it. I love being a part of that handful of artisans, making art on spinning wheels, looms, canvas and paper. It is not just an art of the mind, but of my heart and hands. It is a process I love."
